CNAP® as Alternative to IAP in Cardiac ICU in India

Indian Woman

The Indian team of Dr. Jagadeesh compared the CNAP® technology with the invasive method, which lead to promising results published in the Annals of Cardiac Anaesthesia.

Title: "A comparison of a continuous noninvasive arterial pressure (CNAPTM ) monitor with an invasive arterial blood pressure monitor in the cardiac surgical ICU."

Driven by the interest in noninvasive blood pressure management methods as a result of the increasing demand for less risky methods than the invasive one, Dr. Jagadeesh and his team investigated 30 patients in a cardiac surgical intensive care unit. They compared the continuous blood pressure values detected by the CNAP® Monitor with those taken by an invasive arterial catheter and came to the conclusion that the noninvasive CNAP® Monitor delivers reliable results and is an alternative to the invasive intra-arterial catheter.
