CNAP® Technology

According to the different blood pressure information ranges "Absolute values", "Blood pressure changes", "Physiological rhythms" and "Pulse wave", the CNAP® technology deals with different mechanisms for each of these ranges. We mixed well-known technologies like the oscillometric method and the vascular unloading technique with new proprietary mechanisms. Thus, we could eliminate drawbacks of the existing technologies and made them suitable for continuous blood pressure monitoring in critically ill patients. Our clinical data prove our successful innovation.

The CNAP® system upgrades the gold standard upper arm measurement to a continuous measurement with the help of a finger sensor. This double finger sensor produces a continuous blood pressure signal which is calibrated to an initial oscillometric value by means of a special transfer function.
